LEGACY KIDZ
(1ST GRADE to 5TH GRADE)
Legacy Kidz children's ministry is a safe, loving & structured environment for your child in Kindergarten to 4th grade on Sunday mornings and for Kindergarten to 4th grade on Wednesday Nights from 6:15-7:30pm.
Each classroom utilizes the following elements:
- Bible Lesson : The Mission Bible Class curriculum is a Biblically-driven, God-centered, Christ-exalting and Gospel-saturated curriculum structured for age-appropriate learning.

Music
: Our music is designed to exalt the name of God using a variety of interactive praise & worship songs.
- Crafts : Craft-time is designed to capture a child's attention and reinforce the Bible lesson.
- Playtime:
For younger children, there is a specific time set aside to play, allowing the children's energy to be channeled in a proper way, helping to make the rest of the class time more productive. All children have game time on Wednesday nights.
- Snack : Snacks vary from week to week. Please let us know if your child has a specific food allergy.
Sunday Morning
Children's Church: 1st Grade to 3rd grade
(All children 4th grade and above will be in sanctuary with parents during Sunday morning worship service.)
Wednesday Evening 6:15pm-7:30pm
Cubbies: 3yrs/4yrs/Kindergarten
Explorers: 1st/2nd/3rd grades
Rangers: 4th/5th grades

Sherry Norton
Children's Coordinator
Sherry has lived in the Genoa community for over 35 years. She has one daughter and son-in-law, Chelsea and Jeremy Renfro who have blessed her with three grandchildren: Cheyanne, Channing and JonRoy.
Sherry retired from teaching after 23 years, but her passion is still teaching and working with children. She has an Associate of Arts, Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters degree in curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M-Texarkana. In addition, she holds an Early Childhood Endorsement, English as a Second Language Endorsement and has a Reading Specialist Degree (K-12).
Sherry coordinates and schedules lessons and volunteers to teach on Wednesday nights and Sundays. She, along with the pastor, coordinate the annual Easter Eggstravaganza, Back to School Blast, VBS, Fall Festival and quarterly children's choir, along with other special events.
It brings her great joy to see the kids excited and enthusiastic about learning God's Word. Sherry states it is an honor to be a part of the family of God at Legacy Baptist Church.
