(12th Grade-22 Years)

The Sunday Morning and Wednesday night Rooted class is uniquely designed for young adults and college students.  Leaders challenge students to apply the truth of God's Word to their lives, grow in the knowledge of God and live in obedience to his will.  Leaders promote fellowship as students engage the word of God, pray for each other, and build a community together.

Ryan & Courtney Morton

ROOTED Ministry Leaders (12th-22ys)

Ryan and Courtney Morton, along with their two sons Lane (17) and Lucas (16) were all born and raised in the Texarkana area and currently reside in the Genoa community. Ryan is employed as a Mechanic at the Turk Power Plant, and Courtney is the High School Counselor at Genoa Central, where both boys also attend school.

As a member of Genoa First Baptist Church many years ago, Ryan surrendered to the ministry and has since led Sunday School classes and served as a bi-vocation Youth minister at Circle J Cowboy Church. Currently, he is serving in the youth department at Legacy Baptist.

As members of Legacy Baptist, Ryan and Courtney serve as youth leaders on Wednesday night and lead a Legacy Builder’s small group class on Sunday mornings.

Ryan and Courtney have a love for growing the spiritual maturity of others in order to build God’s kingdom and are thankful for all the opportunities to reach others at Legacy Baptist Church.
